Au Pair's travel
Au Pairs pay for their travel cost.  They should not make any travel arrangement until they receive the letter of invitation from the family. Before booking a flight, the Au Pair must inform the family about the flights she had found, so they can tell her the date and time of arrival is best for them to pick her up at the airport.

The Host Family must collect the Au Pair at the airport so they both must determine where they will meet and how they will identify each other.

In the event the Host Family were not able to collect the Au Pair from the first point of arrival at their country or make the necessary arrangements for any other person, properly identified, to pick her up, then a taxi should be provided in case the Host Family’s house is within 25 miles/50 km from the point of arrival. If the house is more than this distance, the Host Family should send the Au Pair information as detailed, clear and accurate as possible on local transport (train, bus, etc.) she has to take to get to their house. Such information must include stations address and timetable, transport identification and /or any other information the Host Family consider it is important for the Au Pair feels herself secure and safe. All this information must be in the Au Pair’s hands before making any travel arrangement.

The Host Family must reimburse the Au Pair for all travel expenses from the first point of arrival to the second point,
where the Family must collect her.
