Que es una Au Pair
The Au Pair will afford her travel cost. Do not make travel arrangements until you receive the letter of invitation from the family. Before you buy the flight ticket, you must inform the family on what are the flights that suit you best so that they, in turn, tell you the arrival date and time most convenient for them to pick you up at the airport.
The Host Family must collect the Au Pair at the airport so they both must determine where they will meet and they will identify each other.
If the Host Family could not collect the Au Pair at the first point of arrival (airport, train station, etc.) or make the necessary arrangements for any other person, properly identified, to pick her up instead, they should send the Au Pair information as detailed, clear and accurate as possible on transportation (train, bus, etc.) she has to take to get to their house. Such information includes stations address, timetable, transport identification and /or any other information the family consider it is important for the Au Pair feels herself secure and safe. All this information must be provided to the Au Pair before she makes arrangement for her travel.
The Host Family must pay the Au Pair all her travel expenses from the first point of arrival to the second point, where they must collect her.
It is important to consider your appearance when you arrive. Wear smart but comfortable clothes.
Make sure your passport and ID card are valid for at least 6 months more than the duration of your stay.
Do not forget to leave information on how to get in touch with you in the host country with your family at home (Host Family name, home address, telephone, e-mail and fax).
